Are Sealy Posturepedic mattresses good mattresses?
A store by me is going out of business and they're selling All Bright mattresses with the box spring for $700. I don't know if this is a good deal. I haven't bought a new mattress in 14 years so every mattress I lie on obviously feels firmer. This is a lot of money for me, but I feel like it is an opportunity to get a good price, if indeed this is a good price.
That is the price for a queen size. Firmness I don't know what I like. The mattress I have now curves so much in the middle it's concave. It's like sleeping in a hammock and my back hurts every morning.
It depends on the size. The price for a king size bed is considerable higher than a twin. Unless you like firm beds you won't like the Posturepedic. I could never sleep on one. They are just too hard. If you don't like firm mattresses it really isn't a good deal. My mom went and bought an expensive new set and it was too firm. She gave it away and went and bought a soft mattress. Don't buy it unless you like the way it feels. 700.00 may be a good price but it's not if it's money down the drain.
Edit: It is a decent price for a queen. Have you noticed if your Big Lots in your area has had any mattress sales? Ours has been advertising some really good mattress deals and Macy's as well. It sound like it would be better than your current bed but I still think you should look a little more and test some beds and see if you will be able to stand that hard of a bed.
Maybe you could go to American Signature and test some of theirs they have on sale...

I think this gives you enough examples to see that you have options in that price range and since you don't know how you feel about a mattress that is that hard try few outbefore buying. You will have to sleep on whatever you purchase for years to come.
