I have an inground pool with liner, too deep want to fill it in,level and new liner, help?
I have a in ground pool in desperate need of repair, it is a slant side that is 6 foot deep at one end and 41/2 at the other and I would like for it to be 41/2 foot deep all the way across. Then put in a new liner. What about the drain in the bottom? What else do I need to look for and what does it need to be filled with? Sand and dirt or what? The pool I think is 12ft wide and 24ft. long(?) any suggestions or know anyone that has handled anything like this? thanks CaseyK
Wow. That's going to cost about as much as starting from scratch. I think I'd just fix it as is and teach my kids how to swim! That drain will need to be moved up. You can fill with dirt/rock/rubble until you get within about 3" of the level you want. I would think clean dirt would work, but check with the liner provider to be sure.
